We’re in the frame for a national accolade

Our family-run business is one of only three windows companies in the UK – and the only one from the North of England – shortlisted for “Installer of the Year” in the G Awards – one of "the most coveted accolades in the window and glass industry.”

Our director Ian Hunter and all our team are thrilled. Ian says, "Already renowned in Sheffield and the surrounding area for the quality of our customer service, we’ve achieved over 99% customer satisfaction again and have received the very highest rankings from customers via Which Trusted Trader.”

The company is a family business and stands apart in the industry becuase of our strict “no-sales” policy. Ian adds that we “combine the traditional virtues of friendly, personal service with the very latest contemporary products and efficient management processes.”

An acquisition of a specialised glass manufacturer in November 2013 has boosted the business, says Hunter: “we manufacture our own frames and also our own sealed units via Central Glass in Sheffield which we acquired last year. This enables us to guarantee the quality of our products and also enables us to keep our prices competitive. We even have our own bespoke glass design studio which enables customer to have their original stained glass encapsulated in a new double glazed unit or to choose an individually designed stained, bevelled or etched glass unit for their windows and doors.”

Judges have also recognised the company’s charitable work and commitment to the environment, with Hunter commenting, "We have continued our involvement with carefully selected local charities, including the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, which receives all of the profit our service department makes on carrying out remedial work on windows and doors which are either out of guarantee or were installed by other window companies, and the Rain Rescue animal charity, to whom we have donated windows and doors. We operate a green agenda throughout the business and our focus on recycling materials is great for the environment and also means we minimise our spending on skips.”

The G16 Awards event is now established as the highlight of the industry’s year.

Ian Hunter added, "Record levels of customer satisfaction and record levels of investment in products and training have helped to cement our reputation as the number one installer in Yorkshire – and we believe we set set standards for the rest of the industry across the UK."
