Sheffield Window Centre announced as finalist at G14 Awards

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist at the G14 Awards (Awards For The Glass And Glazing Industry) for not one, but two awards ‘Retail Promotional Campaign of the Year’ for the second year running, and the highly coveted ‘Installer of the Year’.

Sheffield Window Centre has had a fantastic year, installing over 200 frames per week and now employing over 70 staff. We have also introduced a new profile, which has helped to improve the energy efficiency of our products, making it possible to achieve A+ rating on standard windows. Every SWC customer is asked to complete a Quality Survey Questionnaire at the end of every installation and this year we have achieved 100% recommendation for the first time!

One of our most significant strategic decisions this year was the purchase of Central Glass Ltd. This investment has enabled the improvement of product specification, whilst maintaining quality and giving us better control of glass unit costs.

In January, Sheffield Window Centre became the first Sheffield company, as well as the only double-glaziers in Yorkshire - to be certified as a Which? Trusted Trader. A representative from Which? put us through a rigorous assessment, thoroughly checking policies, procedures and also spoke directly to a random selection of customers. They were very impressed with what they found.

The company has also delivered a hugely successful fully integrated marketing campaign, as well as maintaining our involvement with Sheffield Speedway Tigers and Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team.

The awards will be held at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London on the 21st November 2014, where the winners will be announced.
