Rain Rescue’s Annual Christmas Dinner Appeal 2018

Rain Rescue’s Annual Christmas Dinner Appeal 2018

16th November 2018

Here at Sheffield Window Centre we have a soft spot for abandoned pets. Several of our staff and family members have adopted dogs from Rain Rescue near Rotherham and as a company we have donated windows and doors to keep the charity’s animals warm and secure.

Rain Rescue was founded in 2002 and it has saved thousands of dogs and cats that otherwise would have been put down. In 2016 the charity saved 468 dogs and cats. But this work is expensive. Last year Rain Rescue’s veterinary bills were £29,000 which has to be paid for from donations, fund raising and proceeds from a charity shop.

Right now Rain Rescue need your help more than ever as they face their busiest Christmas yet. Sadly, the festive season means they will see a rise in the number of dogs and cats abandoned that urgently need their care. You can make a homeless pet’s Christmas a better one!

Just £5 can ensure a homeless pet is kept safe, warm, fed and healthy this winter. Donations can be made at: www.justgiving.com/campaign/ch....

On behalf of the animals and staff at Rain Rescue and SWC, we would like to thank you and wish you Merry Christmas!

Meet Blue, a stunning husky boy.

Blue has a lovely nature. Typical to the breed he can be a little aloof and prefers to do his own thing, but once he’s settled he can be rather affectionate. He shows signs that he has had some basic training in the past and enjoys mental stimulation such as scent work and treat toys.

We estimate Blue to be on the older side, and although he still loves to get out and about for good walk, his sledding days are behind him. He’s a real gem of a dog and will make a wonderful companion for the right person.

Blue would need slow introductions to other dogs and ideally an adult only home with no cats. His adoption fee is £200.

Rain Rescue’s adoption fees include a health check, vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, flea and worming treatment, collar, lead, ID Tag as well as 4 weeks free PetPlan Insurance.

You can help Rain Rescue save more dogs and cats by giving donations of money fostering adopting or volunteering. For more information please call: 07725 888 207 or visit: www.rainrescue.co.uk
