We believe it is important that, as a potential customer, you should know our background and also how the Hunter family became involved with Sheffield Window Centre:

We were introduced to the company back in 1980, when we decided to add a conservatory to our home and sought two or three quotations. (Mrs Hunter is the type who likes to get various quotes before spending anything. She then assesses the best value for money, and, possibly by sixth sense, she usually chooses correctly!) We, or rather she, eventually chose Sheffield Window Centre for the complete conservatory, which is still in regular use today.

Some 18 months later, when we wanted a porch to keep the weather from the front door, I said “Shall I organise some quotations?” To this Mrs Hunter replied “No, get Sheffield Window Centre”.

Apparently, everything on the previous installation had gone exactly to plan, she found all the staff to be very friendly, efficient and courteous – they even cleaned up each night. “The company was a pleasure to deal with throughout” she said.

So, this time, more than just the porch was discussed! We were told by one of the owners of Sheffield Window Centre that his co-partner was quite ill and looking to sell his share in the company. Luckily we had just sold a previous business, so we replaced it with a 50% share in SWC. A year later we bought the other partner's 50% share in the business so now the company is wholly owned by the Hunter family.
