Here at Sheffield Window Centre we love our sport and feel it’s important to support our local teams. This is not only a valuable social activity within the company for our employees, but also benefits our business as a whole.
SWC have had a long history with Sheffield Tigers speedway team, becoming the main sponsors in 2007 until the end of the 2019 season. Our involvement helped the Tigers build an exciting team, which then went on to become league Champions.
In 2012 SWC also became the title sponsors of the Sheffield Steelers ice hockey team. We were blown away by how exciting ice hockey is and how dedicated both the players and the supporters are. We hope that our involvement with the Steelers will enable them to continue their success on the ice and provide great family entertainment for the fans.
We see many similarities in the Tigers and Steelers. They both have a loyal fan base of long time supporters committed to their team. We have found that the Tigers fans have then supported us at Sheffield Window Centre, as they recognise our involvement with their team. We see the same long term aims and ambitions with the Steelers.
Sheffield Window Centre has taken part in lots of fundraising over the years, for various different charities. We have been involved in fundraising for Sheffield Children’s Hospital and PACT, two amazing charities that help children with cancer and their families.
In 2010 we were able to provide the children’s cancer ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital with a list of items they needed but did not have the funds to purchase themselves. In 2012, Andrew Currie from SWC Head Office and Katrina Caley from REHAU (our uPVC profile supplier) ran the Sheffield Half Marathon in aid of PACT.
We have also donated windows and doors to animal charity Rain Rescue, after adopting new family members Trixie and Colby from them, when we saw for ourselves what an amazing job they do.
